An example of a successful product spawning a line extension. The original product, Chickie Cream & Sugar, was successful when introduced in early 2012. The fun, simple shape, seamless functionality, materials with value, and a good retail price became popular with Umbra’s independent retailers.
Its success meant adding additional SKU’s was could help build a family of products. In 2013, the Chickie Salt & Pepper and Oil & Vinegar were introduced using the same form language, functionality, and materials.
