Zenon Environmental Inc. was facing increased pressure from competitors who were stealing lucrative contracts from their ZeeWeed® 1000 product. Miles Keller Design Associates Inc. (MKDA) was contacted to redesign this municipal water filtration product by building the Zenon brand, reducing manufactured costs and improve its serviceability.

MKDA added handles to the modules for easier removal, and improved the products branding by reinforcing Zenon's corporate colours and logo.  The cassette (stainless steel frame holding the modules) had a parabolic manifold added to improve flow rates and prominent lifting points to
improve visibility while immersed in water.  A constant challenge of this project was sourcing suitable plastics to withstand the membrane cleaning cycles and meet water contact and NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) standards.
